Qualify for Tournaments
Meadia Heights is proud to host tournaments throughout the year, each with its own qualifying rules. Please see the following to ensure you can take part!
MGA
President’s Cup | Meadia Cup | Senior Club Championship | Club Championship | 19-Man Shootout
President’s Cup
- Each two-person team will have one opportunity to qualify.
- Qualifying procedure shall take place throughout the month of May; 90% of handicaps will be used.
- All teams must declare in the golf shop before they attempt to qualify.
- Teams attempting to qualify must turn in an official scorecard, returned to the golf shop staff or placed in the green box by the bag room, which MUST be attested by the competitor and the scorer, who MUST be an MGA member.
- The 31 lowest net qualifying scores will be seeded into the multi-round tournament, with the defending champions as the #1 seed.
Meadia Cup
- Each competitor will have one opportunity to qualify.
- Qualifying shall take place during the entire month of April. Qualifying scores will be based on 100% handicap NET scores.
- All competitors must declare in the golf shop before they attempt to qualify.
- Competitors attempting to qualify must turn in an official scorecard, returned to the golf shop staff or placed in the green box by the bag room, which MUST be attested by the competitor and the scorer, who MUST be an MGA member.
- The 15 lowest net qualifying scores will be seeded into the tournament, with the defending champion as the #1 seed.
Senior Club Championship – Scratch / Net / Super Senior Divisions
- Each competitor will have one opportunity to qualify for each applicable flight.
- Competitors must specify which division they intend to qualify for before they start their qualifying round and may attempt to qualify only once per division.
- Qualifying scores will be based on 100% handicap net scores for the Net and Super Senior Divisions.
- Competitors attempting to qualify must turn in an official scorecard, returned to the golf shop staff or placed in the green box by the bag room, which MUST be attested by the competitor and the scorer, who MUST be an MGA member.
- The eight lowest qualifying scores will be seeded into each division for the multi-round tournament and may be subject to change based on participation.
Club Championship
- The Men’s Charter Cup shall determine qualifiers and seedings for all flights.
- There will be eight qualifiers for the Club Championship for both the first and second flights, and four qualifiers for the third flight.
- The qualifiers and seedings for the Club Championship first and second flights will be based on the competitors’ 36-hole total gross scores.
- The qualifiers and seedings for the third flight will be based on the competitors’ 36-hole total net scores at 100% handicaps.
19-Man Shootout
- This is the only tournament that a member can attempt to qualify for as many times as they would like.
- Qualifying shall take place during the entire month of August. 95% of handicaps will be used.
- All competitors must declare in the golf shop before they try to qualify.
- Competitors attempting to qualify must turn in an official scorecard, returned to the golf shop staff or placed in the green box by the bag room, which MUST be attested by the competitor and the scorer, who MUST be an MGA member.
- The 19 lowest net qualifying scores will be seeded into the tournament, with the defending champion as the #1 seed.
WGA

Old Pal

- Teams attempting to qualify must turn in an official scorecard, returned to the golf shop staff or placed in the green box by the bag room, which MUST be attested by the competitor and the scorer, who MUST be a WGA member.
- The 15 lowest net qualifying scores will be seeded into the multi-round tournament, with the defending champions as the #1 seed.

- The nine lowest net qualifying scores will be seeded into the tournament, with the defending champion as the #1 seed.
