Rich Carr

Rich spent most of his life in Lancaster and is a 1988 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School.  He began his golf career as a Second Assistant Golf Professional in 2002. He was with Meadia Heights from 2004-2007, serving as First Assistant under Doug Ritter in 2004 and 2005 and in 2006 he was promoted to Head Golf Professional/Membership Director. He was elected to PGA Membership as Class “A” Professional in 2007.  Additionally, from 2005-2008 Rich was a staff instructor at the Ted Sheftic Golf School. Since 2008 Rich has been General Manager/Director of Golf at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club.  Rich’s commitment to golf is further reflected in his role as “Special Advisor” to the Lancaster Ladies City County Association from 2005-2010 as well as serving on the LANCO Board of Directors from 2006-2015.  Rich and his wife Deborah have an 8-year old son, Dylan.

Scott Reis
Food & Beverage Manager

Scott is an experienced manager of food service operations having worked as general manager at several well-known local restaurants as well as having managed a highly successful restaurant in San Angelo, Texas before returning to Lancaster County.   His reputation includes strong leadership and development skills, as well as a 100% commitment to pleasing both guests and staff under his supervision.  Scott is a graduate of the New York Restaurant School in New York City and is an AFC Certified Culinarian.  His focus at Meadia Heights will be on expanding the already successful banquet and outing activities as well as growing the wedding planning and wedding reception business.

Kelly obtained her degree in Human Communication Studies with a minor in Technical/Professional Writing from Shippensburg University. After graduating, Kelly has worked in various golf clubs, country clubs, and restaurants where she has gained ample experience in management and event execution. Most recently, she was an event coordinator and manager at a well-known golf club in Lebanon Pennsylvania. At Meadia Heights, she will concentrate on planning and operating high quality events ranging from weddings to corporate meetings and golf outings.

Mary Nicholas

Executive Chef

Mary has most recently come from Autumn House in York as the Executive Chef. She brings over 20 years of experience in the food industry with over 10 years at the Double Tree where she worked her way to the Executive Chef position. Mary loves utilizing fresh local ingredients and highlighting the best of the season with her food. She has been featured in many local magazine including, Taysted magazine for entree and chef profile, Fine Living Lancaster’s “food fight” section presenting dishes using the selected ingredients, and has been featured in Lancaster newspapers for employing and working with special needs employees.

Golf Course Superintendent

A graduate of Penn State Course and Turf Grass Management, Tom has preserved Meadia Heights Golf Club fairways and greens for over 30 years. He began his career as the Assistant Superintendent in 1975 and in 1979 became the Superintendent. We are fortunate to have possibly the best maintained course in the area thanks to Tom.

Mary brings to the team a willingness to assist with every aspect of the Club’s functions.  Using her degree from The Pennsylvania State University, as Meadia’s Business Manager, she manages the book keeping, payroll, computer operations and human resources.

Mary has held many positions in Retail Sales before her current endeavor as Meadia’s Business Manager.  Her previous positions brought her experience in sales, management and merchandising.  Her career initially lead to QVC, where she was a buyer of a fifty million dollar ladies apparel line.  Mary left QVC to pursue her favorite “job” … being a Mom!  Eventually moving back into her “buyer” mode, she held positions at Bent Creek Country Club and Meadia Heights Golf Club as the Pro Shop Merchandiser before her eventual move into the business managers’ position she holds today.

Mary is integral in the continued organization of the day to day business transactions of the club and continues to wear many hats to ensure a first class club experience to all of Meadia’s members and guests.
